The strongest grip head has an extremely comfortable handle.
Unlike the knuckles that came with the C-stand I bought, these perform their intended function. I only gave it a 4-star rating since it’s too early to consider durability, but I fully intend to come back to it later and give it a 5-star rating.
This is a fantastic bargain for a grip head that is quite normal when compared to Matthews/American/Avenger. While I can’t attest to truly heavy-duty use, I was a Local 80 union grip for a sufficient amount of time to be familiar with c-stands. When I lived in LA, Modern Studio Equipment was my go-to source, and this price is even competitive with them. But for something that costs $25 or less to be supplied via Prime, I’m happy. Currently, I utilise them for light- to medium-duty commercial video work as well as occasionally for modular furniture applications (when designing a unique design for shop or office equipment). I’m unable to comment on the material science of metal durability, but for the majority of people, this is a big concern.
